Overview
Royal Vegas first went online in 2000, making it one of the few online casino brands that have been operating for over two decades now.
Royal Vegas is one of many long-running online casinos owned and operated by the Super Group. Super Group is NYSE listed and one of the 10 largest online gambling companies in the world (by market cap). Other brands owned by Super Group include Platinum Play and Betway.
Like all Super Group casinos, Microgaming software is the foundation of their RNG game offering. Their live dealer games also used to be powered by Microgaming. These tables were discontinued in all EU facing markets in 2015.
Following a 2015 partnership agreement on live games between Evolution Gaming and Microgaming Royal Vegas, along with many other major Microgaming powered casinos, now offer Evolution games as their principal live games platform. A more recent content partnership between Microgaming and OnAir Entertainment has seen OnAir games given more prominence at Royal Vegas in the last couple of years.
Back when online gaming was all about RNG games, and before the emergence of live games, Royal Vegas was one of the industry’s powerhouse brands. It’s fair to say they sat on the sidelines watching the live dealer industry develop for some time before deciding dive into this category in earnest. That time has definitely come.
After carrying only Evolution live dealers (a pretty solid ‘only’) a few years, they have now added games from Pragmatic Play, Ezugi, OnAir Entertainment giving customers access to a considerable range of tables and games.
